Clynelish Single Malt Scotch Whiskey 14 Year Old

Founded in 1819, the Clynelish distillery is located in the Scottish Highlands. Like many similar companies, Clynelish also had a rather troubled history, at least until it was purchased by Diageo, which was mainly interested in sourcing quality spirits for its blended products. This 14 YO is therefore one of the few single malts produced by the distillery and for this reason it represents a truly interesting little gem. In the glass it has a beautiful light yellow, clear and straw color. On the nose it offers pleasantly fruity aromas, with vanilla, citrus fruits, dried fruit and a pinch of iodine. The peaty note is only hinted at but still very present. In the mouth it is elegant and pleasantly velvety. Perfect whiskey for those who, not yet too expert, are looking for a school spirit to approach the world of Scottish single malts. For this reason, the advice is to enjoy it neat or at most with a drop of natural water to lower its alcohol content and appreciate its aromas even better.
