NIKKA Super Rare Old

Nikka has two main production locations, namely Yoichi and Miyagikyo, distilleries that often collaborate in the creation of blended whiskeys, including this Super Rare Old. This bottle has been on the market since 1962, Masataka wanted to pay homage to his wife Rita (of Scottish origins) who died shortly before. This blended is made up of barley whiskey and wheat whisky, mixing the peculiarities of the two types to offer the consumer a complete, elegant and versatile product.

Persuasive on the nose, hints of cooked apple, pear, vanilla and chocolate, which recall the elegance and complexity of Sherry.
Soft, rich and balanced taste, enveloping with warm caramelized and spicy notes in the finish.
